New to security work?

Learn about Alberta Basic Security Training. Check which route you can use to get your licence.

Training is not a licence

This training does not guarantee you a security licence or a job.

On the basic training route, take the course first. Then take the provincial exam and apply for your licence. Some people can use other routes. Check Alberta’s official rules.
